Wer ist Left Gurl? (english below)
2020 habe ich, Maggie, mit dem Upcycling von Second-Hand Kleidung begonnen. Mit der Zeit hat sich mein Tätigkeiten-Feld immer mehr ausgeweitet und beinhaltet nun auch die Herstellung von Schmuck, Kunstdrucken, neu produzierter Kleidung und Accessoires.
Mein Stil ist die Essenz aus allem was ich mag, und was mich gerade begeistert. Ich lasse gern mein politisches Interesse in meine Arbeit fließen und ziehe Inspiration aus dem Streben nach Veränderung. Was ist schon Kunst ohne Politik und Politik ohne Kunst?
Alles was ich für meine Arbeit brauche habe ich mir weitestgehend selbst beigebracht. Egal ob Siebdruck oder andere Drucktechniken, Nähen oder Zeichnen.
Um Überproduktion zu vermeiden stelle ich oft nur kleine Mengen von einem Artikel her. Ich greife auch gerne immer wieder auf Upcycling zurück, also gebe zum Beispiel Second-Hand Kleidung durch Überarbeitung ein neues Leben.

Who is Left Gurl?
In 2020, I (Maggie) started upcycling second-hand clothing. With time, I extended my range, which now includes the production of jewelry, art prints, clothing and accessories.
My style is the essence of everything I like and what inspires me at the moment. I like to let my political interest have an impact on my work and I take inspiration from striving for change.
What would art be without politics and politics without art?
Everything I need for my artistic work, I've mostly taught myself. Whether it's screenprinting (or other printing techniques) drawing, or sewing.
To avoid overproduction, I often only produce small badges of something. I still like to upcycle things, which means I rework a piece of clothing to give it a new life.
